I will now cover the steps you will need to set up the App-V 5 client and sync the applications to the device.

Once you have the App-V client installed and working you need to point it at the publishing server and sync the available applications.  There are a number of ways to do this however I will cover the powershell method. Open PowerShell as an Administrator and run the following commands.

Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSinged

Import-Module Appvclient

Add-AppvPublishingServer – Name appv01 –URL http://servername.domain:port

Sync-ApvPblishingServer

At this point you should see the applications being pulled down to the client.
